We Thought Of You Today

We thought of you today,

But that is nothing new.

We thought of you yesterday

And will tomorrow, too.

We think of you in silence

And make no outward show.

For what it meant to lose you

Only those who love you know.

Remembering you is easy,

We do it every day.

It’s the heartache of losing you

That will never go away.

I have have many fond memories of our camping days growing up, with our family and friends, at Shelter Valley, and Midland, which were annual events, for many years. Later in college I took refuge at Uncle Gord and Aunt Norene’s. Sunday dinners were without doubt the best meal of the week for me. Uncle Gord always had a story to tell, and always made me laugh, whenever he was around. I will miss you my dear Godfather, and hope you are still misbehaving with Mum.❤️Love to All, Laurie
